Dr. Murugabaskar Balan

Scientist, Boston Children's Hospital
Instructor, Harvard Medical School, Boston MA, United States.

Dr.Murugabaskar Balan completed his Bachelor of Technology from Center for Biotechnology at Anna University Chennai in 2003.
In 2010, he has received his Ph.D in Biochemistry and Molecular biology from the New Jersey Medical School, USA.
He worked on studying the role of interferons in fighting virus infection and utilizing interferon for cancer treatment.
After PhD in 2012, he joined Boston Children’s Hospital, part of Harvard Medical School for post-doctoral studies.
He is now Scientist at Boston Children’s Hospital and also an Instructor at Harvard Medical School.
His research works are focused on identifying novel therapeutic targets in the treatment for cancer and vaccine development.
